Where attention goes, energy flows. In other words, we get what we focus on. This is one of the basic laws of the universe, one that the ancient seers of the East have been teaching for centuries and one that modern Western science is finally beginning to realize. In India this energy is called PRANA, in China CHI and here in the West we call it ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate).  It is your vital life force.
Biochemically speaking, ATP is the energy produced by the mitochondria of the cell. This energy is needed for all of the body's functions, from digestion to detoxification. When energy or prana is sufficient the body is well, when it is deficient disease can easily set in. Think about it, everything requires energy in some form or another. Without it our cells can't do their job--which is to constantly and consistently seek balance and well being.  It is our natural state. From this understanding we begin to realize that fatigue is the body's earliest warning sign of disease.
Prana can be cultivated from the foods we eat, the physical activities we engage in, the thoughts we think and the emotions we feel. Likewise, prana can be drained by these very same things. What we put into our bodies, what we do, think, and feel become essential components to our well being. This is the prana principle. It is a guideline or blueprint for wellness. It is the simple but oh so powerful realization that our bodies are DESIGNED TO HEAL, given the right circumstances. I use body movement, in the form of yoga, breathwork, and holistic nutrition to help realign the body's biochemistry back to well being. I have helped many people heal themselves, including myself, with the prana principle.
